Our Mission
At Scott Appalachian Industries, Inc, we (SAI) believe that everyone is entitled to live comfortably and to be a valued member of their community and government. If appropriate, people should be assisted to maintain control over their lives and assets. We strive to support independence to ensure that individuals live safe and meaningful lives.
Our Purpose
Scott Appalachian Industries was established and chartered as a public, non-profit function of Scott County, TN on June 28th, 1984. It is an effort to provide a growing, expanding and maturing program of services for the citizens of Scott and surrounding communities who are 16 years of age and older and discriminates against no one because of race, sex, creed, color, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, disability, or national origin.At SAI, we believe a person must be allowed to have access to everything desirable. If chosen as the provider, SAI’s purpose is to recognize and help people to become and remain independent to the greatest extent possible by providing supportive services responsive to each person’s needs. In general, the agency seeks to serve people whose participation in the industry will be mutually beneficial to the person and to SAI’s mission.
